The Colorado Plateau Field Institute has a Graduate
Residency Program to assist qualified graduate students who
are intending to conduct thesis or dissertation research in
the Colorado Plateau. This program is aimed at assisting the
graduate student with organizing the basic logistics of field
work and establishing base camp facilities, as well as providing
scientific guidance during the field work phase of thesis or
dissertation research. The Colorado Plateau Field Institute
has a wide range of research programs that can also
provide exciting thesis and dissertation topics to interested
graduate students.
The Colorado Plateau Field Institute also
offers Graduate Teaching Assistantships for qualified graduate
students interested in
working with summer field geology programs. These educational
programs range from the upper division collegiate Geology
Field Techniques courses to the suite of Geology for Educators
continuing
education courses.
